- Korea unified on international age in 2023. 환갑 is the year one completes 60 full years (age 60).
- Traditionally some families counted 수연 by the old Korean age, so depending on family or region it can shift by a year — e.g. holding 칠순 at counting-age 70 (international 69) instead of international 70.
