Compression method
What is the image-conversion method?
It converts each page to an image (JPG) and reassembles them into a PDF (PDF→JPG→PDF).
Even documents that standard compression barely shrinks — like property registers and contracts with little imagery — become much smaller.
However, because the text also becomes an image, text selection, search, and copy will not work.
A higher strength below makes the file smaller but can blur the text.
Compression level
The stronger the setting, the smaller the file, but quality may drop. We usually recommend "standard."
